Cookie policy

• Kroki only stores what the site needs. We don’t need a yes from you for that.
• Kroki currently uses nothing that needs your yes, including statistics. That’s why you don’t see a cookie banner.
• We don’t use marketing cookies or advertising pixels.
• If we add a service that needs your yes, we’ll ask you first. “Decline” will then be as easy as “Accept”.

The site and the app need these entries to work (§ 25 (2) no. 2 TDDDG; in Austria § 165 (3) TKG 2021; in Switzerland Art. 45c Fernmeldegesetz, Telecommunications Act). Name · purpose · duration:

• “kroki:v1” (local storage) · Your answers, your dog’s profile, plan, progress, household, reminders and your order in this browser · until you delete them in your profile or in your browser settings.
• “kroki:v1:backup” (local storage) · A backup copy of the same data on this device · until you choose “Delete data on this device” in your profile or delete the website data in your browser settings.
• “kroki:consent” and “kroki:consent-log” (local storage) and “kroki_consent” (cookie) · Your cookie choice with the time, only if you make one · 6 months.
• “kroki_country” (cookie) · Your country (Germany, Austria or Switzerland) based on your IP address, so that the price, currency and rules fit; contains only the country code · 1 day, renewed on every visit.
• “kroki_lang” (cookie) and “kroki:lang” (local storage) · Your language (de, en or pl), so the site stays in your language and does not switch again · 1 year (cookie), until you delete it (local storage).
• “kroki_arm” (cookie) · Your price tier (A or B), so that you see the same price everywhere · 90 days.
• “__Host-kroki_arm” and “__Host-kroki_arm_view” (cookies) · The same price tier, signed, with a random identifier. For our counts (privacy policy, section 8) we only use the price tier from them, never the identifier · 90 days, extended while you use Kroki.
• Small reminder entries (local storage and session storage), for example “kroki:path-pup”, “kroki:iab-checkout-dismissed”, “kroki:kauf-schritte”, “kroki:heroName”, “kroki:quizEntry” and settings for the drawings · Which puppy is shown on the path, which notes you have hidden, which steps you saw before buying and which topic you picked on the home page or in the guide · until you delete them; session storage until you close the tab.
• Offline storage (service worker) · Program code, the offline page and the help, SOS and legal texts for use without a connection · until you delete the website data or sign out.
• Cloudflare Turnstile (Cloudflare, Inc., USA) · Protection against bots when you start the questionnaire, enter the email code and use the “Withdraw from contract” and “Cancel contracts here” forms. To do this, Turnstile checks technical features of your browser. We only use the result to prevent misuse, not for statistics or advertising · only for the check.

Kroki currently doesn’t use anything here, so we don’t ask. If a statistics service is added, it will be listed here with its name, provider, purpose and duration. We’ll ask you first, and it will only load after your yes.

None. We don’t use any cookies or pixels from TikTok, Meta, Google or other advertising networks, and we don’t embed any content from these platforms.

At checkout, Kroki loads Stripe.js (js.stripe.com) for the payment form. Stripe sets cookies such as “__stripe_mid” (1 year) and “__stripe_sid” (30 minutes), as well as entries in the Stripe frames, in order to process the payment and prevent fraud. They are strictly necessary for the payment you requested (§ 25 (2) no. 2 TDDDG). Stripe.js only loads at checkout. More: stripe.com/de/legal/cookies-policy.

“Cookie settings” at the bottom of every page opens a short overview. As soon as there is something you can agree to, you make and change your choice there; after 6 months we then ask again.

You can delete everything in your browser’s settings under “Website data” or “Cookies”. Then your plan and your progress will no longer be on this device either. Download them first in your profile under “Your data” if you want to keep them.
